Scottish Executive Funding.

Monday 10th May 2010
The Scottish Government have recognised the hard work carried out by our partners the S.F.C.A and have awarded us considerable funding this year for the Coach Educator programme and to promote the sport in Scotland.
This is partly due to P.A.A.Scotland involvement with our Schools program and involvement with the setting up of the first Centre of Excellence for Coarse Angling in Scotland.
We are now in a position to finalise the training of the Coach Educator Programme and hope to deliver our first U.K.C.C coaching course in July/ Aug this year.
The P.A.A.Scotland and S.F.C.A.coaching team will be taking the lead in delivering this programme at our Centre of Excellence the Barony College

U.K.C.C At Last after 2 years.

Finally after 2 years of delay all 3 governing bodies sent their 15 top coaches to Stirling University this weekend 20th and 21st of Feb. They are now in a position to start to deliver the new National Qualification to Scotland.U.K.C.C standard.
The good news for us is we had 6 of our coaches attend over two angling disciplines.
If you hold any other anging qualification and wish to update to the new National Qualification contact your Angling Governing body or contact me through this site.

A.D.B. Scotland Tutors

Sunday 6th December 2009
Finally 6 of our coaches are finally getting trained to deliver the new U.K.C.C angling coaching certificate in Febuary .John Rae, Gus Brindle, Martin Mclaren, Don Paterson, Martin Mitchell, Steve Warwick will soon be in a position to tutor and assess new coaches to the new U.K.C.C. coaching Qualification to which all coaches in the UK will have to have or work towards from this year.
After this we will then be in a position to recruit new coaches into the S.F.C.A and P.A.A. Scotland and to a standard that all 3 governing bodies in Scotland and Sports Scotland approve.
Within 2 years only U.K.C.C. and A.D.B. Scotland licensed coaches will be allowed to operate legally in Scotland.
This process has now taken us almost two years to sort out however its important to assure that coaches are getting the right qualification rather than having to re assess them at a later date.

Continuing our work.

Monday 9th November 2009
Despite not much news recently we are working with all our partners in Angling Development Board Scotland to finally get the new UK coaching certificate in place in Scotland, and we will soon be in a position to train and assess new coaches.
Our main aim is to provide Professional coaches to a high standard who are fully licenced by our partners S.F.C.A.
4 of our coaches will be the lead staff for tutoring. All new coaches game and sea anglers will also have 4 tutors.
We will all be working through the A.D.B.Scotland when we start running courses(early next year)
All coaches working in Scotland will have to be licenced through the Governing Body within the discipline that they intend to coach.
This will stop rogue coaches who are not licenced from operating and who are potentially damaging our sport.
